Gladstone students are doing such a great job with trying to keep Safe and Healthy by washing their hands frequently, wearing their masks and social distancing.
As you know there are various things you can do, whether you are in school or at home to keep safe and healthy. Here are some important tips: Make sure you WASH your hands throughout the day. This will help prevent illness. Encourage your children to wash their hands, especially before meals, using soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds. Wear a well fitted mask that covers your nose and mouth when in public. Get plenty of rest. School age children should be getting 9-11 hours of sleep each night. Drink lots of fluids and eat a well balanced diet--especially breakfast.
Dress appropriately for the cold weather. Please help your child to make sure they are dressed warm, comfortable for each school day. Even in cool weather, students will be going outside throughout the day for exercise and mask breaks.
WHEN SHOULD YOU STAY HOME FROM SCHOOL?
If you have a new cough, shortness of breath, new loss of taste or smell, difficulty breathing, fever, chills, sore throat, muscle or body aches, headache, fatigue, congestion, runny nose, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea...stay home, call your doctor.
